RESTORING DIGNITY AND HOPE
The Clothes Closet’s mission is to provide clothing and other life needs that bless people experiencing homelessness with a new sense of dignity, improved self-image, and HOPE for the future.
When a client visits the clothes closet, they receive more than just clothes. Clients are listened to. They are seen. We welcome them by name, shake their hand, and ask, “how can we serve you?” while we work through their shopping list together.
Clients are given the dignity of choice at the Clothes Closet. Volunteers take a client’s needs and desires into consideration, selecting multiple options for clients to choose from. We don’t force a single item on our clients. We want each person’s experience at the Clothes Closet to feel like a shopping experience where they have options and don’t have to pay anything.
Everyone has a story. Volunteers listen to client’s stories.
